Williams-Sonoma: What Would You Buy?

I've been baking, but just your average fair. A couple pies, cookies, a quiche and cream puffs (The cream puffs might get posted depending on my ability to take a photo before they are eaten.) Time is short these days and to be honest it is hard to keep food around for long with two growing boys.

In light of my lack of baked goods to share, I have a question. What would you buy if you had $100 worth of gift cards for Williams-Sonoma? I was given this gift during the holidays. I have been flip-flopping for a month. Do I buy a few smaller items or put it towards a bigger purchase? (ugh!) So, I thought I'd ask you. What would you buy or what do you use the most?

  2. Without checking out the drool-worthy catalog, I'd have to say I NEED a covered casserole. And I only seem to realize this when I go to prepare something and I think "I could really use a covered casserole"! Or a tangine! Oh, yes, that would be lovely, too!

  3. Umm, that would be tagine... I suppose it would've been more "Archie Bunker" if I'd said tangerine. LOL

  8. tough decision... i am really in need of some basic baking stuff, like muffin tins and sturdy cookie cutters, so i would probably invest in some of that...

  9. Ooo, I love Williams Sonoma! The stuff that we use the most are the not-so-exciting stuff. Their spoonula-type things. Their microplanes. Their bowls that can pour. The things you'll never go back from =D.

  10. a little copper pot, perfect for melting butter or heating a little cream for a ganache. it always seemed a bit unnecessary, but if it's a gift, shouldn't it be indulgent?

  11. I love Williams Sonoma! Their things can be a bit pricey so your gift certificates will go fast. I alway check out their "sale" link and I've been lucky to be able to buy many of their Nordic Ware shaped cake pans of the years ..I don't know why but I love them all!

Do you have a waffle maker or a panini grill? I'd think both would be used quite a bit with two growing boys. How about an immersion bleander? I love mine!
